Communication is an indispensable part of every employee, manager and leader. As we live in a digital and global world, much of our communication is done in writing. To get the most of our letters, emails and reports, it is essential that we learn to communicate in ways that are clear, concise and effective.

In this one-day workshop, we look at how to streamline our communication in ways that are both logical and effective. Communication is more than just what the person wants to say, it is about understanding the audience’s needs and styles and crafting a message accordingly. We learn to choose content structures and leverage best practices.

The business writing learning journey includes lectures, in-class practice, feedback and group activities. The end result is confidence and proven methods for getting the most out of our written communication.

Great leaders in and out of business have many characteristics in common, one of which is the ability to present in a way that is clear and meaningful to their target audiences. Some of the situations presentations are used in the workplace include: Explaining concepts Motivating teams Persuading clients Engaging with stakeholders Effective presentation skills are among the most important abilities that most modern leaders need and yet we were given little or no training on these skills in school. In this course we give the participants an opportunity to learn the fundamental concepts of business presentations:
Creating messages that are logical, even when complex Analyzing the audience and customizing your message to them. Effectively using Power Point and other visual tools Engaging the audience while staying in control This learning is accomplished by a combination of presentation skills theory and the opportunities to practice and receive instant feedback from the instructor and peers. To ensure that the participant realize how much progress they have made, each participant must deliver a presentation at the beginning and again at the end of the course. These are recorded so the participants can see what the others saw and find ways to improve themselves. As a result the participants learn more than just theory, they learn how to: Practically use Power Point Use the five-step method of content preparation Design effective power point; Handle Q&A while keeping the audiences engaged and controlled

Two things to know about executives:
1) their schedules are tight and time is at a premium,
2) they spend their days in meetings.
As such, they have preferences for how ideas are presented to them and they are very clear what a good presentation is, as they have literally seen thousands.
The purpose of our one-day workshop Presentations for C-Levels is to give the participants the confidence to prepare and deliver presentations to top leadership.
We focus on both what is required and why c-suite types appreciate this approach.
This includes how to make a compelling storyline, streamlining content to only the essential and finding ways to answer the “what’s in it for me” for various styles of leaders. We do this through lecture, in-class activities and the final proposal pitch at the end of the day to show the learning applied. The end results are participants who have new knowledge, experience and insightful feedback that are needed to present to all levels of the organization.
